What is O-PEN®?
O-PEN® is matt:e's patented technology that detects and isolates dangerous broken PEN (Protective Earth Neutral) conductor faults: a hidden hazard that standard MCBs and RCDs simply cannot protect against.
In TN-C-S (PME) earthing systems, a broken PEN conductor can cause dangerous voltages to appear on all metallic surfaces, putting lives at risk. O-PEN® establishes a zero-point reference from the three-phase supply, detecting these faults and disconnecting within 5 seconds.
